Wilderness medicine differs significantly from standard first aid courses (i.e. Red Cross) that are oriented toward urban environments. In this minimum 72 hour course you will learn to deal with medical emergencies when help is hours or days away and calling 911 is not an option. This course will help you prepare for emergency situations that involve prolonged patient care and transport, severe environments, and improvised gear.
