Wilderness First Responder
Wilderness medicine differs significantly from standard first aid courses (i.e. Red Cross) that are oriented toward urban environments. In this course you will be introduced to skills needed for medical emergencies when help is hours or days away and calling 911 is not an option. This course will help provide basic introductory knowledge to help you prepare for emergency situations that involve prolonged patient care and transport, severe environments, and improvised gear.
