Stress Management for the College Student

What you will learn:

  • Cognitive restructuring
  • Re-framing
  • Identifying distorted thinking
  • Mindfulness
  • Managing emotions
  • Managing sources of stress including time management, financial matters, and relationships
  • How to create a healing environment
  • How to live a healthy lifestyle

What to expect:

  • 1x a week 55min lecture focused on discussing the cognitive approach to stress management
  • 1x a week 55min yoga lab focused on practices to manage stress and relax

Potential Benefits:

  • Prevention and management of the stress response to life events
  • Assess current personal stress levels and the to apply a wide variety of management techniques
