Description:
Created in 1882, Judo is a mixture of standing and ground based grappling that focuses on the moving of the opponent’s energy using body leverage. This class will also offer some ground techniques from Jiujitsu.
Students will learn the basics of ground control techniques, submissions, standing takedowns/throws, proper Ukemi (breakfalls), and proper beginning Randori (sparring).
This is a fun class with an emphasis on sharing knowledge, respect, and foundational technique.
No experience required.

What You Will Learn:

- Ne Waza/Jiujitsu submissions and positions

What To Expect:
- This class is rooted in foundational grappling techniques with an emphasis in sparring/sparring drills throughout most of the semester. There is a lot of physical body-to-body contact during class, however maturity and respect are maintained at all times and no unsafe pressure is permitted.
- This is a course for beginners, those with previous grappling experience should consult with the instructor.
