Are you feeling anxious about your school work? About your social life? Maybe your job has got you down? We get it, life can be stressful. But stress can have profound impacts on your health. Starting this semester, the Sport, Fitness, and Health Program has begun offering a for-credit course on how to manage stress to promote a healthier lifestyle.
KNSFHP 1104 – Stress Management for the College Student is a 2-credit course that meets twice a week for 55 minutes each day. One day is a lecture focusing on the cognitive approach to stress management. The other day will be a lab activity where students will experience yoga and how its practices produce stress reduction in the physical, psychological & spiritual domains.
SFHP envisions OSU students as a community of active, healthy, fit, and enlightened individuals pursuing a higher quality of life. To make that vision a reality, starting in Autumn, we will expand to 4 class sections in the hopes that we can reach more students.
