Class Description:
This course is designed for students with little to no experience using cardiovascular fitness equipment, and for those interested in taking a more focused approach to cardiovascular training on stationary fitness equipment. The class will introduce students to the concept of aerobic and interval training as a means to increased fitness. Students will demonstrate an understanding on how to use treadmills, rowers, indoor cycles, elliptical trainers, and upright and recumbent bikes to create a variety of aerobic and interval workouts.
Prerequisites:
Must be taken concurrently with KNSFHP 1147. Not open to students with credit for another KNSFHP 1148 course.

- Knowledge of major muscle groups
- Understanding basic principles of cardiovascular exercise

- Develop and implement a personalized cardiovascular training program
- Pre and post testing of your fitness and your body composition
- You will be actively working out in a gym for each class meeting
- Track and log activity throughout the semester
