1139.08 Fly Fishing
No Experience Required!
Introduction to Flyfishing is intended for the student that has either no or a small amount of fly fishing experience (novice-low intermediate). Students will receive hands-on instruction on all the basics of the sport including equipment, casting, fly tying, safety, fly selection and presentation, fish handling, and locating local public fishing access. Students will spend more time outside on the water than in the classroom.
Cost: approximately $50.00
Includes: 3 indoor classroom sessions, 1 outdoor class session, 2 local evening outings and a Saturday all-day outing. Limited amounts of fishing equipment (rods, reels, lines, leaders) will be available for student rental. Students are encouraged to use their own equipment if they have or can borrow it.
Student Must Provide: food; proper attire for weather conditions; etc. Students must have a valid Ohio Fishing License ($19 for annual resident license, $11 for single-day non-resident license, $40 for annual non-resident license).
